The Chicago Bulls are already having an up and down season this year,
despite still being in the playoff race. They'll show some signs of greatness
during the games and then have droughts during the game of 7 and 8 minutes
where they don't score a single point. Now to make matters worse, Jimmy Butler
just went down with a Knee sprain in their previous game. Jimmy has taken the role
of Derek Rose as the teams top performer. He's their leading scorer, as well as
one of the most important players responsible for their periods of success they
are having this year. His injury could keep him out anywhere from 4-6 weeks
during one of the most crucial times of the season. Now that he's down for
several weeks, it's vital that Derek Rose and the rest of the team step up to
keep the team I'm playoff contention for when Jimmy gets back on the court.
That’s going to be a lot easier said than done. While Derek Rose has been
showing signs of his old self, he still hasn’t gotten back to a consistent
point guard than can run a team. With these things stacked against the Chicago
Bulls, it’s going to be a grind to continue to win basketball games and stay at
top of their division. Only time will tell if the Bulls can continue to
overcome diversity as they have in the past to make it back to the playoffs and
try and make a playoff run in the 2016 game.
